Westmount Country Club Florist

Quick question...just dawned on me....since I am having my wedding reception at the WCC, I know I have to use their florist for the centerpieces...but do I have to use them for the bouquets and corsages?

I really don't want to spend a fortune on flowers since I am not a big fan of flowers to begin with and thought I could get the bouquets and corsages somewhere else most likely for a lot cheaper.

Re: Westmount Country Club Florist

  • I have a few friends who used different florists for that exact reason, the in house just did reception/centerpiece flowers and the other more affordable florist did the boutiques and boutineres and church flowers
  • I didn't even think of that! Omg. I kind of hope not because I would rather get them some place cheaper as well...

We looked into the Westmount cause it is near our church and FI's cousin had the reception there. However, after talking to her, it turns out her florist bill was $10,000.

Just be careful and price out all of the in house florists and ask them all questions about centerpieces/bouquets. It's a hidden cost that can add up really quickly.

  • SewInLoveWithDMB. I am thinking of leaning more towards candles because to me flowers just aren't worth it at all. I guess I will see what happens when I meet with them though!
  • Exactly - talk to them and see what they can offer.  But, just go into it knowing it could be quite high!

  • My flower bill was no where near 10K, that is crazy!!  I used Matt from Atlas.  Just be strict when it comes to your budget (and not picky about the specific type of flower) and he can work with you.
  • I kind of wanted to do something like this for my winter wedding, do you think this will be very expensive?
