Hi ladies! I need some help finding a place to get my hair done in northern nj. Also, what is an average price for a trial and for the actual thing? Thanks!!

I'm using "I Do" Your Hair and Make-up  (http://www.theknot.com/Vendors/I-DO-Your-Hair-and-Makeup/Profile/HBF/073/479369/profile). They come to you anywhere in northern or central NJ, I believe. I've known the two owners for a long time (I used to work in a salon with both of them) and they're very talented! I believe for both hair and make-up, they charge $100 for a trial and $300 for day of for the bride (including airbrush and eyelashes). For your bridal party, mom, etc., I think it's somewhere around $85 for hair and $85 for make-up (including lashes). I found the prices to be very fair (less than a lot of salons in the area) and the fact that they come to you makes the day a lot more relaxed, IMO.

Ok thanks I'll take a look. I will be getting ready at my house in bloomfield so I would like to stay fairly close if I go somewhere to get it done

I am using Dona Massa for make up and she is coming to my home She is about 160 for day of at your home and then half of that price for the trial. 

For hair I am using Jeana Luciano Rivas from Guy Anthony salon

her prices are as follows

Bride ..85
Bridesmaids ..65
Junior maids ..45
Moms-..35
Flower girls..25
Pricing can go up no more than 10 or down depending on length and style.

I believe the trial is complimentary of a small fee.

I am using the Hair Factory in Lyndhurst for Hair and makeup.  They also travel if you wanted someone to come to you. I can't recall off the top of my head what their prices are, but they are very reasonable.
