Playlists for the weekend

Hi All,

I thought it would be fun to share some song selections for the big day/weekend.

Thinking of the following playlists:

VEGAS Playlist (for whenever!)
Happy Hour in the Suite Playlist
DDB Playlist (probably Vegas music, and some fun cruising the strip songs)
Getting Ready Wedding Morning Playlist
Late Night Dance Party in the Suite Playlist


Hopefully we can keep this going, add to it as we think of songs so we end up with killer playlists for our wedding weekends! Can any of our Married friends give us some suggestions from what they used?

Great idea, will try and add some of my playlist tunes as I think of them, I have this planned so far:

- Morning of wedding - Various bossa nova tracks (they calm me down!)
- Ceremony - all taken care of by the chapel

- DDB - 'rat pack' tunes, and a couple of Elvis love songs

- Reception @ Wynn Buffet - instrumental lounge jazz 

- After party in-suite - PARTY tunes!

The kind of things we'll have on our PARTY playlist will include:

Sugar Hill Gang - Apache

I was going to have a 3 hour playlist of mostly Elvis/Motown tracks for our reception at Canaletto. There's just 11 of us, it won't be too loud it's not to dance to just for background music, do you think this sounds appropriate? I've also got more up to date stuff like: I'm yours, Jason Mraz; Ho Hey, The Lumineers; some Mumford & Sons and Foster the People.

If You Wanna Be Happy (Never Make a Pretty Woman Your Wife!)- Jimmy Soul

We decided on "Ain't That a Kick in the Head" by Dean Martin as our recessional/after we kiss song. I love the way it opens, and it's got the Vegas vibe.

After watching Amanda's DDB video we have decided that Viva Las Vegas will defo be the first song on our DDB playlist
