Hello! I just wanted to officially introduce myself to everyone. I've been lurking on the boards for awhile now. I've been engaged since July 2011. We got engaged when we were on my family vacation together at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina. He proposed right on the beach when we were "looking for seashells" (or so I thought
). We have finally set a date and chose a venue this past weekend. We are getting married on June 28, 2014. When we got engaged, I was a senior in college and my fiance had just graduated from college. This year, I completed my undergraduate degree and I am going to be attending graduate school for two years beginning this fall. This is why we have had a longer engagement. We didn't want to try to rush into marriage while I was still in school and only working part time. So, we are in the beginning stages of our planning and we are doing a little bit at a time. Our wedding colors are yellow, gray, and white and we are having a rustic style wedding. I can't wait to see all the suggestions and advice from this board!
