Discovered what pinterest is good for!

For the longest time I've been confused about the whole pinterest thing. I didn't use it for wedding planning, because I ended up forgetting about it most days. Besides it seems the general consensus is that pinterest wedding themes = tacky?

But I found a good use for it - hairstyles! I was trying to figure out how to wear my hair for the wedding on saturday. I flipped through a few pages on here to no avail but then I decided to check out pinterest and actually found a picture of a hairstyle I liked and would work for my hair length.

Recipes! I love pinterest for that purpose. I also like the gardening and household tips.

I really like it for recipes. I pin some wedding things but mostly flowers and I've been a few home decor ideas.

I love it for recipes, cocktail ideas, make-up ideas (I'm rubbish at make-up, so I like the step-by-step tutorials), decorating ideas, etc. I have a wedding flower board because my mom and I planned flowers together and it was easier to show her photos than try to explain what I meant.

I pin a lot of clothes that I want to remember but can't afford right away. And recipes. Lots and lots of recipes!

I do the same thing with clothes, but I just try to imitate the look. Usually, the item is no longer available when I want to buy it :-(

I use mine mostly for travel places, book stuff, nerdy humor, and recipes.  I also just pin random things that make me happy.

I just joined it yesterday for the same reason as you OP - I found some hairstyles that I was considering for my wedding.  I may search for make-up tips too, seeing as I've only worn make-up twice in the past six months.  I need to get better at the whole beauty routine thing.

I love pinterst! I use it for recipes, especially baking, hair styles, organization posts, books, wedding inspiration and exercise.

I guess I'm just figuring it out still. I've seen some delicious looking food items on there but I have a recipes app on my phone, so I might end up forgetting about pinterest again lol.
Maybe I need to give it another shot, this happened with twitter when I first joined, it took a while to get into it.

I use it for recipes and DIY home stuff. I love looking through the home section and picking up ideas for my future condo purchase.

I've gotten a few wedding ideas from Pinterest that don't suck...particularly photo ideas (but I skip over those goofy WP poses you see all over kingdom come).

Sometimes I'll find something cute or funny or inspirational that reminds me of FI and I'll share it with him.

I also did my first craft in YEARS thanks to Pinterest...for Valentine's Day I made FI a "52 reasons I love you book" out of oversized playing cards. It was time-consuming, but the look on his face as he flipped through the finished product made it sooooo worthwhile.

I use Pinterest for recipes, home ideas, outfit ideas, and for planning trips. It makes it easy to just Pin ideas for excursions, restaurants, hotels, etc. as I'm planning a vacation.
