Wedding Thank You Question...

Hi,

I have been trying to decide what I want to do for the Thank You cards for the wedding gifts we received. I was originally planning on having cards made with pictures from the wedding, but I have another idea now and wanted some feedback on it. We are leaving for our honeymoon on Saturday (tomorrow) and I was thinking about getting different postcards from the places we go and sending them as our thank you notes. I would like to add that we will be writing a personalized note on every one regarding the particular gift we are thanking the guest for and wont be sending them until after we get back from our honeymoon. Also, I would get post card envelopes to mail them in because I do not like the idea of anyone being able to see what is written on the card while it is in transit. Please let me know if this sounds like a stupid idea.

Re: Wedding Thank You Question...

  •  First of all, congrats on your marriage!! :) You must be *so* excited to be leaving for your honeymoon tomorrow!!

I think this is a super fun and unique idea! I wouldn't have thought of something like that! Definitely not stupid! Another idea too, could be to have postcards made up, with pictures of the two of you from your honeymoon! That may be a fun twist! Regardless of the route you go, postcards as thank you notes are a cool idea!

Have fun on your honeymoon!! :)

Any thank you note is better than none.

If I remember correctly, there is very limited space to write on a postcard...so that's something to consider.

  • Not all postcards have the small left section to write on though too. I definitely agree that when postcard shopping, you'll want to buy ones that are blank on the back. :)
  • I think it's a nice idea myself.
