Steven Vance- Experience?

Hi All,

I am having Steven Vance play our entire wedding Ceremony and Reception (violin soloist- no dancing at reception). I was wondering if anyone used him and if so what type of music did he play? I am trying to put a play list together and am all over the board.

He has played at both of my step-sister's weddings, one of which was just yesterday.  He is wonderful!  For the ceremony, he played some of the standard classic ceremony songs.  For the receptions, they used him during cocktail hour/dinner as a strolling violinist before he switched gears to dj.  I assume this is what he'll be doing the entire time since you're not doing dancing?  He puts a list of the top 100 requests on each table, which range from Phantom of the Opera to Friends in Low Places to Beauty and the Beast - really a wide variety. He's quite talented so I'm sure he can play any style and many requests if he knows the songs.  As a special request from the MOH, he played the theme from Anne of Green Gables for part of her toast bc the wedding was at Green Gables and it has sentimental value.  He actually played this one from sheet music.  I'm sure he'll be able to help guide you in figuring this out:)
