Intro
Hi all! Thought I'd introduce myself. I've been a member of the knot for a while, nut have just recently discovered the community msg boards. My fiance & I are in our 30s &we both have children from previous marriages. We met through an online dating site (to be honest, he was the sites last chance for redemption bc I had met some doozies already & definitely did not expect to meet THE ONE on there). Not exactly how I expected to meet the man of my dreams, but life is great at surprising you! It's been a whirlwind to say the least. We dated for a whopping 3 months before he proposed & we've set the date for October 5th. Sooo, I only gave myself 7 months to plan the wedding (what was I thinking???) BUT I've gotten a LOT of ground covered and the event coordinator at our chosen venue has been VERY helpful (couldn't have asked for better service!) Doesn't hurt that my guy is very hands on w/ the wedding planning so I get a lot of help & support. I still have my freak out moments of how much there is left to do & how quickly October seems to be getting here. Can't wait for that day to come but still nervous about it's arrival at the same time

Hobbies/Activities: Wow! It would be great to actually have a hobby, but right now it's all dance, all the time in my house (Have competitive dancers). Not a lot of down time: it seems like I'm always running a taxi service, working, juggling schedules, and trying to keep the laundry from burying us all.
Favorite thing about SO: He's a little bit of a geek (that just makes him hotter in my book!)
Least Favorite Think about SO: When he breaks out the military lingo (I get lost & have no clue what he's talking about)
Personality: Generally quiet until I feel comfortable around you & then I don't shut up; a bit of a scatterbrain so I'm a religious list maker, slightly OCD and like everything "just so" but I'm learning how to relax
Snark Level: 5ish? Probably a lot snarkier than that but I keep it to myself most of the time

How you came to be on TK: Joined to help a friend plan her wedding @ my 16 y/o's insistance.
How I like my potatoes: Any way possible (EXCEPT mayo based potato salad)... Love potatoes! Sadly, pre-wedding diet doesn't allow for them
