NER - XP: I Got A Job!

Got a call yesterday morning from the hospital and I got the job!  It's a communications operator (telephone/PBX), contingent, with no benefits.  It would be up to 80hrs per pay period (2 weeks), any shift but with shift premium.

Have to go for a health evaluation which includes drug/nicotine/TB test on Friday.  Have to bring a list of drugs I do take, and immunizations. Gotta prove I've had a flu shot too.

    After being on disability for 23 years, this is truly a blessing.  I have to thank God for this!

    Just an update - had to provide THREE additional references - that was hard trying to find someone that was professional.  I mean the one job I had was only for 6 months (work study).

    I called HR and explained this, so I provided the former regent of my DAR chapter, a former college instructor and a police officer in Washington, DC.

    Tomorrow is my health evaluation - blood, urine and TB test.  They will look for drugs and nicotine...

    They called my former regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution this morning.

    I just sent them another reference - my English professor from Macomb.  We got along great and I had him for two classes.
