General Florist Question

So I have been putting off talking to florists up until this point because I am terrified of how much it is going to cost! My wedding is not until 9.14.13 but I was wondering, realistically, how far in advance I should be looking into a florist. I know the checklist on here has a timeline, but I wanted to check with PGH specific brides to get your feedback! Thanks!

    My wedding is in September and I saw my florist for the first time back at the beginning of March....so about 6 months worked out for me.  It probably depends on how busy your florist is though - so may take longer.

    My wedding is in January and I still haven't even thought about a florist. But if you are getting married in a busier month, then I would probably make plans around 6 months out.
