Hey, everyone!
I just got engaged to my boyfriend of nearly 10 years on Sunday the 23rd! He proposed on a gondola ride on the Charles River in Boston after doing a day of my favorite things (watching my favorite movie, going to the local science museum, walking through our alma mater's campus, reading comics)... so I kind of saw it coming!
(The ring is HUGE because it's my mother's ring handed down to me. It easily fits my right thumb - my largest finger - and is at least 2 sizes too big!)
We've set a tentative date for May 17th, 2014 but we're checking out a the venue on Monday just to be sure we like it before we set that date in stone.
Anyway, it's been a LONG time coming and I'm so happy to get started planning our wedding! Luckily because we've been together for so long, I've had very specific ideas that we've talked about over the years, so lots of the big choices (bridal party, colors/theme, location, etc.) has already been agreed upon.
