Invitation Envelopes

We're making our own invitations that will be the size of a regular size #10/business letter envelope.  The information will be printed on cardstock as the formal invitation.    I don't think we'll have an inner envelope.  Do we address who the invitation is to, including all the guests, on the outer envelope?  For example: Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, Jennifer and guest, Ashley, and Ben

This particular board is for forum/website technical issues, not wedding-related issues.

However, that is what we did.  No inner envelope.  Any time there were kids, we'd do the parents on one line, then the kids underneath.

Also, we did our absolute best to find out the names of SOs so that we didn't have "and guest" on the invites.  If there was ever an adult child of a couple, we sent them a separate invitation.
