I posted before I read the new member info page, and wanted to back up and introduce myself!

I'm Ashley, and I'm getting married on September 29, 2012 in Pittsburgh (actually it's Coraopolis...).  We're planning an art nouveau wedding with literary touches (think the Great Gatsby), mostly because we're both big giant nerds. 

Official new guy question:  What the heck does AW stand for?! lol!  I can't figure it out for the life of me, and it's driving me nuts!

Ashley and I were best friends in high school and have been friends since 3rd grade so treat her kindly!!!  She's a great girl!  

Ash - You'll get a lot of use out of this board, so make the most out of it!  The ladies on here are so very helpful!  Happy planning!!!  Only 1 year, 3 weeks, and a few days to go!!! lol

Thank you!! I'm so excited, and have so many crazy ideas (mostly thanks to the MILLIONS of bridal magazines Carly gave me!)

So far we've set our date and our reception location (Pittsburgh Airport Marriott ), and I've bought my dress!  I'm not a fantastically girlie girl, so I knew I could only make myself try on dresses once lol.  It luckily worked out.  Our pseudo-theme is art nouveau/literay (think Alphonse Mucha illustrates the Great Gatsby), and I'm glad to have people to run ideas passed!  I've already learned so much from everyone just by lurking!
