Ack. 45 days to go!! Time FLIES! I had originally planned on getting custom-made converse all-stars (super cute, too!) because I cant wear heels (double dislocated knee a few years ago means PAIN in heels and chance of falling all over myself). Now I am looking at the cost and time-line to get them, and I dont think I can manage it.  My dress is the perfect length with no alteration to wear flats, but i HATE ballerina type flats. Am thinking kitten heels, which are do-able with my knee issues.

Question is - if the heel is a little too high and the hemline ends up floating an inch or so above the ground, is that gonna look weird? Highest heel I feel I can wear is 2 inches.

Can you try on your dress with some different shoe options?

Yeah. I think a highwater dress would look weird. Stick with flats.

If you don't like the "ballet" style...what about open-toe? They don't necessarily have to be white. I wore a metallic gold color.

I'd stick to one inch heels max.  Anything more and I think it's going to start to look like the dress wasn't properly hemmed.
