Floral Crown -- Silk or Real?

I am planning on having a floral crown to wear for the wedding.  Whereas the idea of asking my florist to fashion one is appealing, I am wondering about the realities of it.  Would it obviously get droopy after a while?  How easy is a real one to readjust?

If anyone has worn a floral crown/wreath, please weigh in on if you went real or silk, why, and if you'd do it differently.

Thanks!

I'd talk to your florist about long lasting flowers if you really want real ones. I'm thinking you'll be better off using silk because you can be 100% sure that they won't droop.

  • I think I might do a compromise between the two ... the crown itself with small berries and greenery such done fake, and then some loose flowers to weave into it here and there.  That way any droopies can be easily taken out and the base crown is still intact.
