Keeping the weigh off and not stressing!!

I just recently got engaged in May...but my best friend gets married in October and I'm scared to death to go and try my dress on. Usually I have a lot of self control but we have been so busy! I don't want to try a fad diet or do any cleanses. I eat right and exercise but still continue to gain...and it's getting very frustrating...I don't want to end up being 10-20 pounds heavier for our wedding. HELP! any suggestions!?

Re: Keeping the weigh off and not stressing!!

  • Are you tracking what you eat?  If you're working out, eating right, and gaining weight, then my first guess would be that you don't really know what you're eating (either portions, snacking, or what have you.)  If you are tracking carefully, then perhaps a visit to the doctor is a good idea.

  • Yes I am tracking what I eat with myfitpal on my phone. I was thinking the same thing about going and seeing the doctor. I have had my thyroid checked before and everything was fine.
  • Feel free to add any of us on MFP - maybe we can help sort through any gaps in your diary and look at the calorie and macro intakes.  Sometimes a fresh set of eyes/fresh perspective helps :)

    Good luck with everything!

  • That's awesome THANK YOU!
  • I have a scale that I weigh food. I can say weekends are super hard to stay on track. I don't want to loose a lot of weigh I want to loose 10 pounds but like I said I do use my fitness pal and maybe I'm just not watching the portion side enough.
  • Yeah I don't drink beer if we do drink we usually have mixed drinks with diet soda which I know can be still an issue but we don't get out much and I don't usually drink during the week. Yes I get very frustrated when I know I went over calories. I just need to keep up with MFP and keep up with exercising my fiance is a big supports which is great!
