Hey fellow knotties!

My FI and I need to find a photographer/videographer.

We fell in love with michelle lawson but it looks like it's waaaay over budget

We are looking for photography and videography to be between 3500-4000 maximum altogether. 

Help ! Yes, I've already used the vendor search but it's nice to hear directly from you guys.

We also considering dillonphoto and minerva so far.

We did not use a videographer for our daughter's wedding and our guests were very happy about that decision.  They said that they had much more fun knowing that their antics would not be captured forever and they did not have to make "spontaneous" comments to the bride and groom. My personal experience is that the video is watched for about a month then fades out, while the stills and album stand the test of time.

That said, we used our whole budget for photo/video on photo only and RAN straight to Munoz Photography on Oakland Park Blvd. We used Tommy but could not go wrong with any of their photographers.  They are artistic geniuses who turn out an amazing product.

We met with Mario at Munoz.  They were about $6500 for what we wanted.  We ultimately decided to use Daniel Lateulade. He was referred to us by a photographer who I took a class from.  From the moment I saw Daniel's work, I knew he was my guy.  He is the nicest guy too!  He can be pricey for his higher packages, but I think his base package is around $3500 and you get a ton of stuff. I don't think it includes an album though, but I don't remember the specifics because we booked him so long ago.  I also spoke with a few others, to compare before I committed.  Most of them told me how they had won this award, and that award, and were published here.  I didn't care about that, I just wanted someone who LOVES his job and who I would not just be "another booking" too.    Hope that helps.

Hello! I went through the same process of deciding whether or not to do videography and I ultimately decided against it. My wedding is in October and we decided to go with Gio Morales Photography. I love his work and I can't wait to see what he does for our big day. He was within budget for us. His packages start at $1940.  Check out his website and you will see his quality of work. Give him a phone call and you will fall in love with his personality! And if you have a chance to meet him in person or via Skype, his albums will blow you away. Happy hunting

I LOVE his work and wanted him even before we got engaged. His prices are what I was expecting to pay for great photography, but don't break my budget. Photography was one of the top three important things for our wedding, to me, so I'd gladly fork over a teeny bit more to get awesome quality. I mean, just *look* at his work on his Facebook page. I melt.

As for video, Vincent does that too, but I ended up getting a deal through my draping company, so I'm going with them - Party Kings of South Florida. You can see sample videos on Vimeo.

We went with George Street, we like the company and our consultant we met with. I wanted to go with Michelle Lawson as well, but they were really out of our budget and George Street fit right into our budget, we didn't get video, just photography. I recommend you check them out.

poirier photography is amazing! they're a really sweet couple. we're not paying an arm and a leg for them either!
my videographer is lovebug productions...they've been awesome as well. their cheapest package is $1900.

I was thinking about going with George Street but I have heard mixed reviews. Has anyone else had any experience?

I would love to save up for Michelle Lawson, but the longer I wait to book a photographer my chances of booking anyone will get smaller and smaller.

Treasure Videos. My videographer, I must say was one of the best vendors I hired. The video looked like a movie. He met with me about a month prior to the wedding and he came from Sebring!!! Very professional!
