My dad suggested a wedding planner. Is it useful or a waste of time?

I have seen couples create and have fabulous weddings without one.

We do have an on-site coordinator for the venue but I know she is not considered a wedding planner.

    It all depends on the couple.  My DF and I both work full time and don't have family in town to help us.  So we hired one.  We used Sumer at Simply Perfect Weddings. {{Clicky}}
    We met with one other planner who didn't listen to anything we said.  She had her own vision for how she did weddings.  Sumer listened to every word and has been an invaluable asset.  She is hands down one of the best decisions we made in our planning.

    Do you think we would be able to use or schedule her on just the day of the wedding...so things run smoothly?

    I hired Sumer for Day of Coordination. But she is also there and available to take calls and emails for any problems you have along the way. She will also give you great vendor recommendations... which is very helpful.
