save the date magnets

Would you consider a magnet a rigid item in the mail (does not bend easily)??
Has anyone sent out magnet save the dates? Do they need extra postage?

I sent mine with regular postage.  They were approximately 3.5" x 4" and we put the little glue dots on the back to put it on an attach card that listed additional info.  They were the rigid type.

I had it weighed at the post office.  I further tested out one by sending it to myself to make sure there were no problems.
  • Our magnets from Vistaprint did not need extra postage. We used glue dots to adhere them to a card about the size of a thank you card.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • We used Vistaprint as well and they did not need extra postage.  We just put the magnet in the envelope and mailed it.  We've heard from people that have received them and none of them have said they were bent or ruined.
