Bustle help

I recently ordered my dress (maysilee by Sophia tolli). It has inward pleats in back that I don't want to cover up or lose when it's bustled. When I had the sample on they said the French bustle is what they would do. But I'm worried it won't flow with the rest of the dress and will just look awkwardly bustled. Does anyone have any ideas? Would it be possible to pick up the train and some how continue the pleating in back? Your help is greatly appreciated! http://sophiatolli.com/wedding-dresses/y11320/

There are so many ways you can do a bustle, it's like architecture.  When I looked at the gown (um, gorg!) I saw that there is a spot under the lowest pleat where a french bustle could be pulled under to make sure the pleats are laying smooth still.  Then, the seamsstress would pull up the side points to the right and left up underneath to make sure that the pleats stay in place and the entire back of the skirt lays smooth. I've heard this called a 3-point French Bustle.

It would be a real challenge to get a traditional bustle to work visually with that gown.

It's going to be a GORGEOUS work of art!  I work at a bridal salon and the bustle is always my favorite part!

Wow your dress is gorgeous!  And I love the pleating!

You definitely need an under bustle (french bustle) or something to that effect so that all the mechanics are hidden under the dress.  You could also consider a ball room bustle where the train of the dress is basically flipped under and then your dress looks like you never had a train to begin with.  But I think a low french bustle would look very nice with your dress.
