...TAHITI!
Oh my goodness we were so excited when we found out. My mom accidentally slipped about the location the day before our flight. She was so upsed because she really wanted to keep it a surprise until we were driving to the airport, but oh well.
It was a long trip (about 16 travel hours and a 4-hr time difference), but it was worth it. Our resort was on the island of Moorea. So beautiful! We had an overwater bungelo. We could snorkel right off the back deck. We had a perfect view of the sunrise every morning. The room was so pretty and we even had a window in our floor where we could watch the fish swim under our room! We were the 3rd hut from the right in the first pic:

This was our beautiful sunrise view from the bedroom every morning:
We went swimming with sharks and sting rays while we were there. It was a blast, although a little indimidating at first. I have to admit, I was conjouring Peek's shark-y confidence that day!

We took an ATV tour of the interior of the island. We got to taste fruit jams at a local stand, see the beautiful mountains/forest, check out the pineapple groves and see some amazing lookout points. There was even a beautiful rainbow on DH's birthday!
We enjoyed Pina Coladas and beautiful sunsets at the bar every night too!

All in all, it was an amazing, once in a lifetime trip. I can't thank my mom and brother enough for such a wonderful gift! It really was hard to come home.
