Why isn't my to-do list shrinking?

With less than a month ...why doesn't my to-do list seem smaller?

I just redid it this morning, and still have at least 30 things on it. They're mostly small things, but still! I don't think I'll ever  be ready and finished with it all :(

    My to-do list

    1. Create slideshow show for reception
    2. Work on "Must Play" list for DJ
    3. Alert BP of Rehearsal Dinner
    4. Create Favors
    5. Create Ceremony Programs
    6. Purchase BP Gifts - Only 2 more to purchase
    7. Finalize Vows
    8. Finalize ceremony music selections
    9. Create day of schedule & send to BP
    10. Confirm with difficult BM that her dress fits & that she will be there for the wedding. 
    11. Pick up groomsmen sunglasses
    12. Build donut tower
    13. Get Guest book pen
    14. Call guests who havent RSVP's (August) 
    15. Have final fitting & pick up dress
    16. Give final count to caterer
    17. Verify with venue vendors have access to site 
    18. Create Seating chart
    19. Confirm delivery times & locations - Flowers, Donuts
    20. Prepare thank you toast
    21. Make all final payments
    22. Have final meeting with Photographer - Discuss how the day will work 
    23. Pack for Honeymoon 
    24. Have hair trail - as well as have hair trimmed, eyebrows waxed, hair dyed. 
    25. Get Nails done - week of wedding 
    26. Give copy of honeymoon itinerary to parents (In case of emergency) 
    27. Exchange $$ for Honeymoon
