any experience with Luckydresses.com?

Has anyone ever orderd from Lucky Dresses before? I found a dress I really love that is so much more affordable than anything ive tried on in a store. Im worried though because they only will accept returns if something is wrong with the dress, and I'm not going to be able to try it on. Does anyone have an experience good or bad with them? Any advice is appreciated!

  • This is a knockoff site (I pulled it up, saw them advertising a Mori Lee gown for $300 and knew right a way - confirmed in their about us section). Please do not order a dress from them - there's a sticky on the top of this board that shows how awful these knock-off's can be. There is a reason they are cheap.

I would never order a dress that I hadn't at least tried on a sample of. Look at David's Bridal or even used dress sites like tradesy.com, oncewed.com, and preownedweddingdress.com for more affordable gowns.

  • Knockoffs aren't giving you the dress you see in the photo, they are trying to recreate the dress from the photo, and using subpar fabrics and often, the dresses will be sent to you undown, improperly sewn, or with pins still left in it.

this is the photo I like to use whenever anyone wants to order from a knockoff site:

The one on the left is a Mori Lee, the one on the right is a really bad knockoff.

  • don't do it would be a bad mistake . your wedding is the one day you can get dressed up in something out of this world breathtaking and different. you wear the dress once but you want to feel and look your best.

say you bough the dress on this website you give them your measurements and they send over the dress to you it takes a while because its china  your super excited to see this 1200 dollar dress that you got for 250. the dress comes in and the fabric is not what was listed online. the detailing is way off the nice crystals that this dress is supposed to have is plastic crystals and not the good quality ones. you go to try on the dress and its way to big or its to small the length is all messed up and they forgot to fully construct the dress so you have the pins still inside it. you are scrambling to find a seamstress to fix this dress so you take this 250 dollar dress to get altered. she looks at it and says it needs a lot of work i will have to upgrade the crystals for you construct the rest of the dress for you fix the hem its to long so i need to shorten it. its to big in the bust very big so it needs to be taken in. you get a quote from her so now your 250 dollar dress has now become 400-500 because it needed so much work

there are plenty of places you can get the gown of your dreams for less davids bridal. alfred angelo. call bridal salons and see if they have any discontinued dresses they are selling, bridal consignments,  places that you can purchase the gown off the rack,

morilee is a affordable line of bridal my dress was 925 corset back plus size one strap i wanted to customize it and add another strap and that brought the dress to 1000 with the customization which was only $75.00 more i thought i was going to have to pay way more for the lace strap.

another idea is to go to a few salons try on dresses ask them if the would measure you to see what size u would need then go on tradessy preowned wedding gowns rk bridal and see if they have that gown in your price range in your size
