Hey everyone,
Even though I have some time before my FI and I need to decide, I was thinking about our first dance song. I always imagined I would dance my first dance with my husband to a Nat King Cole song. I have loved his songs since I was a very little girl (dancing around to his stuff at 3 and 4 years old) and he is one of the few artists I will be able listen to the rest of my life. I really love his "When I fall in love" song. However, the more I think about it, the more I am not sure. The song may be way too short for my liking, and it's not the easiest to dance too. And I'm not sure if it's really "us".
I also love a lot of Frank, Dean, and Ella songs but all of their stuff seems so overplayed for first dance songs and I would rather have their songs played during dinner.
Ok, so with that said I have fallen in love with Adele's song "Make you feel my love". I absolutely love the song. Youtube link if you haven't heard it-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCBlFBOxRKo I think it may be perfect for us, but I don't know if it's a strange song to play for a first dance. It almost seems to strike a sad note, but I think that is what I love about it. My fiance and I have had so many struggles that we have faced together, so it seems fitting to have song that talks about loving and supporting each other no matter what. What are your thoughts though? Do it seem to sad for a wedding song?
And with that in mind, what song are you guys planning on for your first dance (or what song did you play if you are already married)?
