Awesome!! We are 10/12 as well and put them in the mail on Monday, we got our first 2 back yesterday. It was very exciting. 3 more today. All YESES!

We sent ours out this morning as well! (After applying for the marriage license.) YEY! Now we wait for the rsvp's!

ETA: We are also October 12th

Yay! But this makes me realize how far behind I am...we're oct 5th and I haven't finished mine yet. Have all of my side ready but FI & FMIL haven't gotten all their addresses gathered yet...killing me!

yay exciting!  I am also October 12th.  I just finished writing all my thank you notes from our shower. I am taking a week off and then I will do invitations.  Hoping to have them out the first week in August!

I'm glad y'all have sent yours. I was beginning to think I was too early! My wedding is 10/5 and I sent mine out last Tuesday (7/16). I've gotten one RSVP back so far. I put a spot on the RSVPs saying something like "if you put this song on the playlist, I'll be out on the dance floor". I can't wait to see what people say!

Isn't that a bit early? I have heard people typically send them 2 months ahead of time (my wedding is Oct 25 and I plan to send mine around Aug 15). 

Not that it's a problem that you sent them early, I just want to make sure I haven't missed something here!

I don't think you have, @octnites! It's mostly depending on how long you think your guests will need to plan for travel. If most of your guests are local, there's not a huge need to send the so early. However most place, including TK say to send them between the 2-3 month mark. We're all on target!

@octnites - that's my plan too! Wedding October 26 and my goal is to have them ready to go around the 15.  My friends and family know the wedding is about two - three hours from where they all live from the save the date and they all pretty much have told me whether or not they are coming...so I don't think I need to get them out any earlier than the 15.  The only one that I am going to TRY and get out early is the one to our friends living in Mozambique right now.  All of their mail goes through his home office in DC and then sent them in Africa...this takes a while.  BUT with that being said - they've already told us that they plan on coming as long as they are back in the country and they will find that out mid-September .

@octnites ~ I mailed ours out on Monday, Oct 26th here, the only reasoning was it is out of town for all of our guests.  Also, FI's family has been inundating FIL's for information regarding the hotel and other info about the wedding.  So I figured I'd get them the invites and hopefully save my FIL's so many questions.

Thanks for easing my mind, everyone! I did send out Save the Dates back in January so I think everyone who needs to travel has booked everything I just finished the design of my invites today so will probably send them as soon as they are printed!
