Turning off .gifs

Is there a way for posters who don't want to see .gifs in posts to turn them off?

The only gifs that you'd be able to hide are any that are included in someone's signature.

You can hide members' signatures by going into your Account Options -> Preferences

Why would anyone want to hide gifs?  Sometimes they are the best thing in threads!

As to why I might want to hide .gifs, sometimes they're just too big and flashy.

I was just going to say this! It would make me so sad not to see everyones gifs.
