I live in cleveland Ohio, we dont wanna go too far nor stay too close, any ideas?

What is your budget?

What do you like to do on vacation?  Beach bums, activity nerds, historical interests, etc, etc.

Do you want to fly or drive?

Do you want to stay in the US or are you open to outside the US?

My budget is open, definately in the US we have 2 kids dont wanna be too far from there. I want to drive within maybe 10hrs of cleveland

I would think living in Cleveland you could fly cheaper then it would cost to drive.

Depending what you want to do you could go to:

New York City

Washington DC

Virginia Beach

Canada!

Niagra Falls

 

Or like I said to another poster, you could get on a cruise in cities like: Baltimore, Norfolk, New York. Those are within driving range and you could experience something exciting and different.

When I visited my dad in Cleveland, we drove to Niagara Falls, and it's not a bad drive at all!

We had a great time.  We did all the normal fun stuff in the city (Canadian side), like see the falls, go to the restaurants/movies, etc.  

But then we also went to Niagara on the Lake (just a short drive away), and it's such a cute town!  They have water activities, like the jet boat rides (SO. MUCH. FUN), plus really cute little inns, restaurants, and shops.

Tons of vineyards too!  The ice wine there is delicious!

Of course, you'd need your passport.

Thanks for the ideas, he wants to got to the Poconos, and I want Niagara Falls, I think we can squeeze both in, Im taking a litlle over a week off.
