Venue Help in MA

Hi everyone,
My fiancee and I decided on October 10, 2014 for our wedding date. We're having some difficulty finding the right venue for our price range, and would love some help. Here are our specifics:
1) We are expecting about 80 guests
2) We want a vegetarian only wedding
3) Our budge is about 10k (for ENTIRE wedding, including photographer, meal, venue, DJ, decorations)
4) We want to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. We'd prefer the ceremony outside, but are looking for a venue that offers a beautiful indoor alternative in the case of inclement weather.
5) We are not going for any specific "look"...country club, hotel, barn; we are open to all :-)

Really appreciate the help! Thanks!

Re: Venue Help in MA

  • Your budget is reasonable depending on where you end up for a venue! If you are open to rustic, true New England, check out Old Sturbridge Village. The tavern inside fits about that many...went to a wedding there for 75 people and it was a great size for that location. Food was great and the ceremony was there too...in the garden right next to the reception.

    good luck!
  • I agree with Old Sturbridge Village. It is truly magical there. I would also look at The Red Barn at Hampshire College, The Carriage House at Forest Park in Springfield, and The Log Cabin in Holyoke. I loved all of these locations but for one reason or another I couldn't have my wedding there. I also attended a wedding at the Log Cabin. They had great food and a beautiful ceremony site. Good luck!!
