gift for a non-gifter?

A friend who attended my wedding, but did not give a gift, has just gotten engaged.  So when I go to this friends wedding, am I to also not give a gift?  I've never gone to a wedding without a gift!

Hmm...the snarkier side of me would say yes.  But truthfully, I think you need to look at their situation.  I mean, if she is strapped financially, i'd feel badly reciprocating that, you know?

unfortunately it's not tit for tat; so while I would feel like, ew I don' t want to give them a gift because they did not give me one, I would still give something since like you, I could never go to a wedding without a gift.
