Groomsman's Wedding Tie

Hello,

I am getting married in a few months and was hoping to purchase an embellished tie for my husband to wear on our wedding day.  Between my wedding gown, my shoes, my veil and jewelry-I feel like all of the focus is on the bride and I want us to both stand out equally.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to  where I can buy him an embellished tie of some sort???  Any stores or websites?

Thanks so much!

  • I agree with CMGr, definitely check with him first. I know the last thing my FI wants is more attention on him than necessary. If I presented him with an embellished tie, he'd be like "Uh... no"

I'm confused about what you mean by "embellished." I'm picturing a bedazzled tie...lol. I agree that this should be up to your FI. My FI asked for my input on his tie and I helped him choose an ivory tie that is stiched to look striped (I can't think of the correct term right now, my brain is so tired). It's enough that it's not just a plan old tie, but it's certainly not flashy, as he is one to shy away from any attention as well.

  • @alisonmarie658 Now I'm picturing the groom looking like Elvis in his Hawaiian special.

  • I, too, am confused by the word and am picturing bedazzling. My husband's tie was coral with little white flowers. Would you consider that embellished, or are you truly talking about sparklies?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Now I kind of want to bedazzle something.
