The Tooth Fairy

Re: The Tooth Fairy

  • I do remember getting twenty because I pulled four loose ones out by myself. But that's still only five dollars per tooth and was only because I pulled them out myself.
I always asked the Tooth Fairy if I could keep my teeth. I would show my dad and he was so grossed out.
  • I gave 14 in Susan b anthony coins and sacagawea coins. Its was very magical for my daughters first lost tooth. She went to build a bear to spend it.
  • I got $1 or $5 depending on how I lost the tooth. If the dentist pulled it, I'd get more for having to go through the pain.

I saved all my money in a plastic wine glass and eventually took it to the bank.

  • No joke, I once got a note that said "Ask your mom for $50 out of her checking account."

I think my mom felt guilty about working so much, but also did not have time to get $50 out of her checking account before my tooth fell out. (There was a phase when I was losing teeth willy nilly out of no where.)

  • I got $1 or $2 I think.  I may have gotten more the first time I lost teeth, because it was 2 teeth at once that were yanked by a dentist because they would just not. fall. out. and I had the adult teeth growing in behind the baby teeth.  If so, it wasn't enough because I was still terrified to lose teeth after that.

I say this as somebody who lost their last tooth after a few of my friends got their braces off, somewhere around 2006/7.  I apparently did not have inflation accounted for.  I should really mention it to my mother if my last baby tooth ever falls out, however unlikely it may be.
