My family had some not-fun stuff happen over the last couple days. My Mom was admitted to hospital with chest pains on Wednesday night. Found out then from the docs on call that she had had a "tiny" heart attack, and that they were going to continue running tests. She had an angioplasty yesterday, and all of her arteries are completely clear and a-okay (yay!). The last doc we talked to said that there was damage to a "large part of her heart", and all of us were so shocked by this that none of us thought to ask them to define it more. Finding out today though. They did say that this type of damage is totally reversible so long as she gets rest, de-stresses, and takes care. We were assured that the type of heart attack she had is one that is they type that the nurses hope for, as it's much less serious. The outcomes are almost always really good. She's feeling much better now, thank God, but will be in the hospital probably until Sunday.
