Alternative Indoor Wedding Ceremony... HELP!

We're aiming for a date in the fall of 2015. We live in Southeastern Massachusetts, and we're looking for somewhere to have an indoor ceremony (New England weather can be very unpredictable!) that ISN'T a church.  I'm thinking about places like museums and libraries but the ones around here won't close for private events.  I have my heart set on a quaint refurbished barn for the reception, but I'm totally stuck on where to have the ceremony.  I need some suggestions, please!

You should post this on the local board for that region.

Is there a reason you couldn't hold the ceremony at the same place as the reception?  You don't want a church, which is the typical reason for having 2 locations.  Having everything in one place is more convenient for you and your guests.

Ditto PPs. If you're not having a church, why not have the ceremony and reception in the same place? Also ditto PPs about posting on local boards, which will have much better advice for you.
