Looking for Outdoorsy, Afforable Venue in Lehigh Valley PA

Hi ladies,

I, like many other on this board, am hunting for the perfect outdoorsy, affordable wedding venue in the Lehigh Valley.  My fiance and I live in Bethlehem...so we are looking to stay within 45 minutes-1 hour of Bethlehem.  I have already looked at:  The Meadows in Hellertown, The Stroudsmoor, Blue Mountain Ski Resort, and The Glasbern Inn.  All of which are beautiful, but I am feeling any of them for us.

Anyone have an amazing ceremony and reception venues to recommend?  We are on the outdoorsy side and are trying to stay away from the golf course/country club type venues.

Have you considered a Pocono Mountain wedding? They have some great, out-door, scenic venues with rain day back up plans, like The Lodge at Mountain Springs or Bear Creek.

I'm also trying to avoid the country club type of venues, but I couldn't help but take a second glance at this venue simply because of its affordability and location.

I am getting married at the Riverview Country Club next year. Jenna, the coordinator, has been really nice and flexible with everything. It's a really pretty venue and definitely affordable compared to some other stuff I've looked at.

How about the Burnside Plantation? That place looked amazing. I have my heart set on a barn wedding, but I'm considering it if I can't find an affordable barn.

I also wanted an outdoorsy venue and wanted to stay away from the stereotypical country club vibe. However, we went with Riverview Country Club! It is beautiful......great outdoor scenery, patio, and the room is surrounded by glass with a gorgeous skylight.
