what is the best day to get married for thanksgiving weekend wedding. We want to plan that weekend since most people are already off Thursday and Friday. Our hall we love, love, LOVE lol is booked the Saturday of course. BUT its avail Friday and Sunday after thanksgiving.. hmm.. which day is better. I was thinking Fri, FI thinks we should book it for sunday so people wouldnt have to travel thanksgiving and miss it with their families

I dont think any day of that weekend is ideal. People have family stuff that is usually pre-planned. BUt if you set on that weekend and cant do Saturday, I would pick Friday. People would most likely leave early from a Sunday wedding.

Unless it was a family member, I would never go to a wedding over Thanksgiving weekend. And if it was a family member, I would try to convince them to choose a different date.

Are many of your guests coming from out of town?  Thanksgiving is a PITA for travel.  We went to a wedding on the Saturday after Thanksgiving last year, but it was local (and we decided to stay in town for Thanksgiving in part because of the wedding).  

If you have local people, I would say Sunday, but not too late in the day, since people probably have work the next day.  If you have many out of town guests, I would pick another weekend.  Have you checked with your VIPs (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.)?

If you go through with this expect a LOT of declines, especially from anyone out of town and non-family members.  I personally wouldn't go to a Thanksgiving weekend wedding unless it were my sister's.

My family & most of my friends dont celebrate thanksgiving for religious purposes so its not a big deal holiday for us.
