Hi everyone!
My FI and I have been dating for 6 years and got engaged this May
We went for a picnic at North Ave Beach (it was empty) and for a walk along the dock there and he proposed on the lake against the skyline!
SO Promontory Point on the lake and against the skyline would be perfect for our wedding reception... or at least we think so
What we would love is first hand input at having the reception at this location. I am in love with fall and the colors so one of my main concerns is temperature in late Sept/early Oct (will the leaves even be changing then?) as well as the public bathrooms and parking. Another concern is all the PAPERWORK that goes along with renting the venue from CPD- along with the mandatory insurance we have to get for $2M for the day of.
I'm Catholic so was considering having the ceremony at St. Thomas the Apostle, but transportation from hotel, to church, to reception, to hotel seems like it would be confusing to plan.
Any input or advice would be fantastic and VERY appreciated.
