The Palace Brides Fireworks?

I looked at The Palace at Somerset Park and loved the fireworks touch. However it comes with a hefty price tag. I was wondering if anyone had the fireworks and if it was worth it?

Re: The Palace Brides Fireworks?

  • We are in the same place.  We LOVED the idea and want them so much for our wedding but their package is just a bit too much for what we would like to spend.  I tried to contact The Palace to see if  their was any wiggle room but their didn't seem to be.
  • We agree the fireworks are a great touch but are a bit pricey.
  • Yea it seems it's just that one package. I was told it is a 15 minutes Macys-fireworks type show, using 2000 fireworks. Apparently it's a go big or go home type deal.
  • We were told its the permits for franklin township that bring the cost up so much.
  • We liked the idea for the 5 seconds it took our eyes to get to the next line with the price. However, I heard they are quite grand if you can swing it. Maybe negotiate other things to allow for the fireworks?

  • Just curious, how much do they charge?

When we got married, there were two packages and the big one was upwards of $2,500. Not sure what they are now.

  • As of our most recent inquiry the smallest package was just shy of 6,000!  We originally said we could budget about half of that possibly but its just such a big bulk of money that we are having so much trouble justifying it!
  • Hi Ladies,

The Palace was one of the very first venues we visited when looking - it is magnificent and gorgeous!!! I just wanted to add in a small note about the fireworks - we were told that they are on a "first come - first serve basis"

For example: if there are 2 weddings happening on 1 day - if the 1st bride ordered the firewords - then it seems like the 2nd bride gets the same show for free :) Only because you really cant control the fireworks to a limited part of the sky - so therefore - yes it will be more predominant for the bride that paid persay - but the 2nd bride that day will be able to see the same fireworks also. I don't know how exactly i would feel about that - but hey we ended up booking a different venue :) Sooo my recommendations is to go 50/50 with any other bride getting married that same day or just get married on july 4th or if some lucky gals out there have a nice budget then splurge the 6 grand and enjoy the amazing show :)

Ps my FH went to a wedding at the palace a few years ago and still raves about the food!!!

    Good luck with the planning!!!

  • I believe that $6000 is before the plus plus. Our photographer said the same thing about if the other bride has fireworks to get pictures with it. Unfortunately July 4 brides or hat weekend cannot have them. They said its not available,
  • We were told it is $7500.
