Photo Guest Book

Hi All!

I am planning to make a photo book on shutterfly to use as a guest book for people to sign at the reception. I was wondering if anyone else out there has done something like this because my #1 question would be how many pages should the book be? I know they are expensive, but I get coupons a lot so I didn't know if 20 pages would be enough or should I get around 30?

I will be having about 200 people at my wedding, About 20 of which are kids and around 75 couples... so maybe about 100 ish actual signing spaces, maybe?

thanks for your help!

We made our own guest book from a Michael's scrapbook shell and then printed our own pages to put on the inside using a somewhat floppy cardstock, our logo and the font we used for everything else. It was super easy and cost about $10.

We probably had about 20 lines per page. People used about 8 pages. We ended up with 170 guests. I think 20 pages is plenty.

ETA: 8 pages = 4 pages front and back.

  • We did this (hooray for groupon!).  Our book was a "story of us" theme and had pictures from throughout our relationship.  I included other things like our invitation, wedding and love quotes, things about our relationship (first date, when/where/how we got engaged, etc) our favorite songs, etc.  It was 24 pages ( 12 pages front & back)

  • We had one put together for us by our photographer using photos from our engagements shoot. It was 20 pages (10 fronts and back). Some pages were packed while others were pretty empty, but we only had 87 guests at ours. We were also asking for advice, memories, etc. so a lot of the comments were longer than your typical "Best wishes! X and Y," though.
