Venues, Venues, Venues!!!!

OK so we looked at about a half dozen places for our wedding in the Penn Hills/Harmer area. Now we are checking out some other places. I have sent some inquiry emails to Holy Cross Banquet Hall, Edgewood Country Club, Seasons Reception at Comfort Inn, The Holiday Inn-North, Lindenwood golf course, and Valley Brook Country Club. Has anybody out there in the knottie world had any experience with any of those venues or reccomendations of places like it. We are looking all over the place, so any reccomendations will help. Thanks in advance.

    I think PantherRN is having her wedding at the Holy Cross Banquet Hall. I know a few people have had their weddings at Edgewood and had great experiences.

    I would throw into the mix: Rivers Landing in Oakmont and Twentieth Century Club in Oakland.

    My cousin just got married at Westmoreland Country Club in the Murrysville/Greensburg area and it was nice.

    J is right, my reception is at Holy Cross. You likely won't get an email back from your inquiry. Mary Kay can be difficult to get a hold of, its better to call if it is a venue you're really interested in.

    Also, is the Holiday Inn you're looking at the one on McKnight Rd.?

    It is the Holiday Inn on McKnight Road. A coworker of my fiance reccommended it. It didn't take long to figure out that a phone call works alot better than an email with Mary Kay at Holy Cross. They are having a Greek Food Festival there this week so she can't bring me in for a tour.

    I don't have experience at the places you mentioned, but I had my reception at Banquets Unlimited (they have a location in North Huntingdon) and I can't say enuogh good things about them! The food was absolutely amazing and they did such a great job with everything from the decorations to the centerpieces and even the cake!
