Pittsburgh D.J.'s

Looking for quality D.J.recommendations for a October 2010 wedding.
Good music without too much fluff... not so into the inflatable instruments, weird hats, etc.
D.J. Andy Booth was recommended, but he is not available for our date.
Thanks for any help you can give us.
Best,
Pgh Bride

Jodi Colella from Accents Unlimited DJ'ed my daughter's wedding and did a phenomenal job!

    I highly recommend her.

We are using Big Day Unlimited- Mike L., they are really nice and helpful good prices and packages. Lots of music. Our dj is real laid back he has been doing this for 20 years and said he will be as outgoing or quite as you like. And if you book before the end of april, they have a $200 off special! Which was great for us! Good Luck!

Ditto Andy Hutelmyer but I looked at your profile and he is already doing my wedding on your wedding day.

What about Wenning Entertainment or Rockin Bob's??

I am using Jason Hitt from Big Day.  I have heard nothing but good things from the ladies on here about him.  My wedding is on Saturday, so I won't see him in action until then.

I'm using Andy Booth, but there are many other DJs on the board's recommended vendor list here:

I'm using DJ Mark Zini from ZiniProductions... I've heard great things about him! Not sure if he'd be available this close but it's worth a try!

I'm using George Yamalis.  He DJ'ed a wedding I was at 20 years ago, and I said then that if I ever got married I wanted him to be my DJ.  It took a little longer than I thought it would, but here I am, and now he's going to DJ my wedding!

All the ladies on here have great recommendations, though, so I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of their picks!

Whatever you do, don't go through a DJ company or entertainment company for a DJ. They over charge people all the time. Go to a few club/bars and listen to a few. You should not be paying over $600 for a DJ and even that is the MAX you should be paying.

There is nothing wrong with using a DJ or entertainment company for a DJ.  A club DJ is very different than a wedding DJ. I personally would prefer someone who specialized in DJ'ing weddings.

I used DJ Bob (www.allprousa.com). He was wonderful and very professional. I couldn't believe how many people complimented our DJ choice!

My sister had the same Thinking as - brjst3... and the guy, aka some Hobbyist RUINED her day. He was around $500 and a complete joke!!!

I have been reading some good articles and I was told a Professional DJ will be around $1200 and up. I'm talking to Rockin Bobs, and Wenning Entertainment and really like what they have to offer!

I'm not making the same mistake as my sister... You pay for what you get now a days!
