I received a wedding gift (not a shower gift) a month-and-a-half before the wedding. Do I send a thank-you now or after the wedding??

I would send it now. They giver will want to know you got the gift.

Send it now. That way, they know you've gotten it, and, when more and more gifts start coming in, you will have one less TY note to send.
