in suite reception at THEhotel H suite

Hi I am thinking of throwing a reception in the H suite of THEhotel at mandalay bay. I do not want to get ot catered, I am just planning to buy some party platers from a restaurant and do the whole set up and clean up by myself.  Does anyone know how strict they are about bringing in outside food? I know their official policy is to use their caterers but I've read that a lot of people ignore that. Has anyone thrown a reception here and brought your own food? how was this suite for your reception? How many people did you have?

  • Unless you get busted by security for noise complaints, you will not have any issue.  We used an L suite for my wife and the girls to get ready in and they had food brought in, booze, dry cleaning, day of coordinator, etc.; basically a line of vendors coming and going; wasn't an issue.
