Here is my experience at the Wynn for anyone who is interested for future planning:
Wynn Wedding Salon - A+ :Our experience was so great at the Wynn wedding salon that I had to post a review! AnneMarie was very prompt at replying to my many emails and was able to quote me on everything that I asked and even helped ease my mind about if we were to have small children at our ceremony. They customized everything for us and set up the alter with our own candles and photo frames and included the rose petals we purchased. It was all so beautiful!
Reverend Walters was just so great as well! He customized the ceremony exactly to how we wanted it without making it too religious but just enough (I am catholic and my husband is atheist.) He delivered such a heartfelt blessing at the end and made it sound like he knew us personally for years. Even my grandmother who watched the ceremony on the live stream commented on what a nice job he did! He responded quickly to my emails as well and even sent an itinerary early at my request.
Overall I would recommend the Wynn wedding salon to everyone, and have been. The best part as well was the wedding salon is off in it's own hallway near the ballrooms. Other wedding chapels you exit near the food court or pool area which takes away from the intimacy of the ceremony. I found having the salon off on it's own well worth the extra money.
Wynn Buffet - C - :For a wedding reception I wouldn't recommend the Wynn Buffet but as far as a regular meal it's fine. The problem with the buffet for a reception began back in January when we were in the planning stages. I had requested a quote for a reception and I'm sure they receive many requests daily but it took a while to receive a quote. After deciding on the Wynn buffet and finally being able to speak with someone on the phone we were told that we need to know exactly how many people were coming to the reception. I said we don't have the finally count since we are in the early planning stages but were told we needed that number for the contract since we had to pay the total price immediately. I asked if we could add additional guests later and were told we could but that it's a difficult process. I guessed on a number and assumed we could get that many guests to come to the reception.
A couple days after our phone conversation I still had not received the contract to sign and called and emailed again asking for it as I was leaving out of town for business in a couple days. I finally received the contract while I was leaving for business and was told it needed to be signed and returned in 2 days. I emailed again explaining I was out of town as previously stated and not able to sign the contract for about a week. That request was finally ok'd to fax the contract when I returned home.
My now husband was reading the contract while I was out of town and noticed it did't mention alcoholic drinks even though one round of mimosas, champagne, or sangria per person was quoted to us. I emailed the Wynn reservations services asking about this and was told that the VIP package included one round of drinks as well (but was not quoted that it was an extra charge so we assumed that was what we had paid for.)
A couple weeks before the wedding we had quite a few guests back out and ended up with a few extra buffets already paid for. I knew we couldn't get our money back so called and asked if on the day of the wedding we could use the extra buffet charges for a bottle of wine or two. We were told that the contract we signed was final and we could not use the money for anything else, which was frustrating but understandable.
On the day of the reception we assumed we had the VIP package since the regular buffet cost is $38.99/person for dinner and we paid $50.99/person, plus tax, plus gratuity, plus the room rental charge of $150. When we arrived at the buffet I told our guests about the one drink purchased for each of them but then was approached by a coordinator that our contract did not say anything about alcoholic drinks and they weren't included. We then had to pull up 7 month old emails on our smart phones about the conversation back in January. We were finally told that they would "allow" the one drink per person this time due to the confusion but it still left me a little upset that we apparently paid extra per person for the buffet but had to jump through hoops just to get one drink for our guests when they already had about $150 extra of our money in buffets that were not being used. While that isn't their fault I didn't understand why they had to make such a big deal about the one drink per person.
Food wise I thought it was ok but I've had better but our guests enjoyed it. I supposed had there not have been the communication and contract issue I would have given them a far better review.
