The Hayloft, Rockwood PA Help!

Hey Ladies, 

If you know anyone or have ever attended a wedding here I would like to pick your brain just a little. I'm looking for information on Hotels, Transportation and if you've had your wedding there a little guidance. Thanks!!!

I don't know of any current posters who are having their wedding there and it is also not on the recommended vendor list, so it is possible that no one recently had a wedding there.

It is possible that some of the girls have been to weddings there, so I'm sure they'll chime in if that is the case. I checked out their website and it looks great! If you put the address into Google Maps and then click "Search Nearby", type in hotels and you'll get a lot of results.

Hello, my baby is asleep so I'm lurking on The Knot. I got married in Somerset Co. almost 3 years ago. We got married at the Somerset Country Club, not the Hayloft. But I would like to say my guests stayed at the Holiday Inn and Hampton Inns in Somerset and they drove themselves from the hotel to wedding and back.. Sorry, I don't have any more good information for you. Good luck!

OK, thanks.  I already have pretty much everything sewn up- hotels for guests, rehearsal dinner, florist, catering, etc. so it's no big deal anyway. 

I'm struggling with transportation for the wedding party because I don't want to use limos.  Seems like all the SUVs or vintage car services are rented out of Pittsburgh, which tacks a lot of extra time/money onto the budget.

I should add for those viewing this that we're encouraging guests to stay at 7 Springs , which is 15-20 minutes away, and we're providing transportation from there in coach buses from Lodestar Buses in Johnstown.  Most of our guests will be from out of town and the last couple roads to the Hayloft aren't well lit.  (Actually, no lights at all.) So the last thing we wanted was drunk people driving home on dark backroads.

Can I ask what Lodestar is like price wise?  I'm trying to find transportation for guests to and from our venue in Ligonier, and I see that they're close!

Hey tara- Sorry for the delay!  I was travelling for awhile.  I'm paying about $450 per 65 person bus, for about 6 hours time.

I am getting married at The Hayloft on June 30th. I did wedding blocks at Hampton Inn and Quality Inn. We went around and looked at most of the hotels and they were the best. They are beside each other. I have been letting guests know there are cheaper places to stay as well as resorts. Seems to be working well because guests are starting to book rooms.

Hello! I am getting married at the Hayloft as well, and was wondering how far these hotels are from the Hayloft, and if you are providing transportation to the hotels?

Also, has anyone ever been in the barn during the summer? Is it extremely hot in there?  We are getting married in August and am a little nervouse about that.
