It's Tuesday...It's morning.

I took DefConn back to the Dr yesterday because he was not getting better after a full round of antibiotics for his ear infection.  Sure enough, they haven't cleared up.  I'm researching ENT's.  It cannot wait any longer. I was up with him three times last night because he was coughing so much.  :(

School starts tomorrow.  YAY!

How is everyone else this morning?

  • Poor defconn.

I'm having a good morning.  The kids are eating breakfast while I watch the golden girls and fold clothes.

Poor kid.  I know tons of kids where tubes made a huge difference.

I'm trying to make the most of the day.  We're going swimming.  It's a high of 76 and overcast with a chance of rain.  We're going with MIL and annoying SIL.  I wonder if I could sneak in sangria to make her more likeable.

  • Poor defconn :(

I'm exhausted, woke up twice last night and took over an hour to fall back asleep the second time.  I'm just too uncomfortable.  I'm over this pregnancy thing.

DH is leaving Wednesday night through Sunday.  I'm going to have to do everything for myself, that kind of sucks.

  • Poor kid, that really sucks. Sucks for you too because it seems like you haven't gotten a good answer on that.  :(

Today is good, I am happy to have H home, even though he's mopey and waiting for Friday to come and go.  I really hope upon hope upon death wish that any surgery is scheduled ASAP.  It's been so long and the guy is very antsy.  And he's only been home 1 weekend and 1 weekday.  I tried to get him out yesterday to use his adaptive cycle while I ran, but it was no dice.

  • Oface, how is the H feeling w/ the knee injury?  After about a month, I didn't feel too horrible and was able to function for the most part until I had sugery. Using the bike would be really good for him, I was surprised that I could easily do it.

  • @alikatt17 - H is at the point where he's as good as he's gonna get without the surgery.  Swelling is very minor and in fact he says his knee is "crunchy" and it just looks a bit sad.  He has trouble with stairs a bit, but he's very mobile, no crutches and minimal supportive knee-wear.  I think he's just ready to get this show on the road.

And he's frustrated because even though he's been cleared for work through the doctor he saw near school, he needs to be seen again in town to be cleared by the WC approved or chosen doctor.  I've heard good things about this dr., so I'm hopeful things go well.  He's just very antsy and being a person that hardly sits still doesn't help.
  • I totally know how he feels.  I was so antsy, because I don't sit down either.  I still have trouble with stairs, I'd probably have less if I actually did exercises to strengthen it and pregnancy doesn't make it any easier.

  • Poor DefConn. hopefully tubes or something along those lines will help him out.

This morning was infinitely better than yesterday morning.

It's pouring here today and I'd give anything to be at home.

on the super plus, I'm down 6lbs since I started wearing this little gadgety thing on my wrist!
  • I hope you get some resolution soon MrsConn. Night wake-ups with a sick kiddo are the worst. I really would like it to be Friday at 4. I was up until 11:30 pm working, up at 6:30 to get DS to daycare, and on the phone with people from Germany this am. Today will be a long day. DH is giving me crap about maternity leave too and it is stressing me out.
  • Sorry to hear about DC.:( I hope he feels better soon.

Today is my last day before I have to head back to work. I think I've finally recuperated from the party. Thank you cards have been mailed and I'm planning on burning through some gift cards on Sat.

Sidenote: I think I surprised a few people with my Attire: Hot dress. I haven't worn anything like that since my 20"s. I was suppose to lose 20 lbs, but that didn't happen. I still felt great in my dress, though.
