How was your weekend?

Tell me something cool about the weekend and/or about the week ahead.

My weekend consisted of slowly starting to move things to my new room (I have to until Sunday to move everything).  So it was pretty lame.

I am going to a Harry Potter preview show on Thursday at 7pm.  I'm incredibly excited for that.

And FI comes in Thurs to help me move the big furniture/just hang out.

Happy Monday ladies!!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Ours was busy, but fun.  On Friday, we went to Emiliano's at South Side Works for dinner.  One of my favorites. Then we came home and worked on our Tears of Joy packs. We made seals that have our sunflower with our monogram on them.  We stayed away from the traditional "For your tears of joy" label.  I am not sure if we will have them given out to the ladies with the programs or place them in a basket.  If we put them in a basket, we will make a cute sign to go with them.  I think I like the idea of having one of our junior bridemaids (8yo & 10 yo) give them out.
On Saturday we took the dogs for a long walk and then spent the rest of the day at the Baby Shower.  Actually, only about 3 hours was for the baby shower.  The rest of the evening there was nothing but Par-tay!!  It was a lot of fun.   We all don't get to see each other as often as we would like to.
Yesterday, DF and I ran a whole bunch of errands. Then we grilled out for dinner.  Now we have lots of yummy leftovers to get us through the week.

I have a 2 week break until the next boot camp session starts.  This morning I took the pups for a long walk through Panther Hollow.  I saw the biggest friggin' raccoon I have ever seen.  He just looked at us as if to say "Come on, walk over here, I dare ya'!"  I took that as a sign that we should turn around...and we did!

Lastly...here is a pic of our tears of joy packs...don't mind the crappy phone pic.

    Happy Monday!

MD- I bet you will be glad when you are all moved in.  Good luck!

GM! My weekend was.... okay, lol. FI is a really good golfer and I went to the driving range for the first time with himand actually not being that bad!!! It was fun. Really enjoyed church yesterday and we had a nice family dinner at my dad's house. One of my highlights was seriously seeing dbpsu's wedding photos on FB, she looked stunning and it looked like so much fun.

I got some work done on wedding planning too. I finished the personalized hangers - I think they came out pretty good and I made all of them for the same price as one costs on Etsy - so I'm pretty proud of myself. I also decided to incorporate a Scrabble theme into the reception - nothing too overboard, but just little details. I ordered some stuff off of ebay for that. Here's a link I like - I am a Scrabble guru. Seriously. Haha. http://maidavaleinvitations.blogspot.com/2009/11/very-clever-wedding.html

MD - Glad Moving went well. Where does your FI live?

Janice - I lived vicariously through your fun weekend with all of your FB posts! Sounds like an overall great summer weekend. The tissue packets look cute!

Here's a pic of the hangers!!!

lindsay - hangers look awesome- congrats on getting that done!
FI lives in DC and comes here every other weekend.  Not ideal, but it works fine for us for now.

Lindsay - Love the hangers!!!  Too cute!!  What other DIY projects do you have planned?
I think our next big one is assembling our invites.

    Hi Ladies!

Today was the last day of close (thank God) so hopefully the rest of the week won't be quite as hectic.

I did get to enjoy my weekend though. I went to the waterpark, moved some more stuff to the new apartment, and laid around. No wedding stuff to report, but I did start arrangements for one of my friends bachlorette party.

I will order the save-the-dates online as soon as I get the CD with our E pics back. I still need to figure out what I am going to do for invites. I really am not creative enough to create my own the way I want them.

Md- We are moving all the big stuff this weekend so I feel your pain :-(  but I am so excited for Harry Potter too!!!!

Lindsay- Those look awesome! How on earth did you make those?

Janice- As we have discussed before, I love Emilianos! I am going to miss be on the South Side and just walking down my stairs to it lol. I've been following your facebook posts too. Sounds like that boot camp is awesome, and paying off!
