Hello everyone, I am beginning to start my search for a wedding dress. I was just curious if there are any other stores other then David's Bridal in the northern NJ area that anyone would recommend, that is not too pricy. My budget is about $1,500. Thanks!

I ordered my dress, bridesmaids dresses, and my mom's dress from East West Bridals in Secaucus.  Elyse and Gary have been fantastic to work with and they have dresses well within your budget. I've emailed Elyse with a billion questions and she always gets back to me right away.

I found my dress at Park Avenue in Verona. Nice selection and helpful people.

Hi - I'm not sure if Metuchen, NJ counts as North Jersey  but just wanted to throw my recommendation out there.... 

I purchased my amazing Kitty Chen gown at Bridal Salon Milana - Lisa was great to work with! My gown was $1,300 AND it included all the alterations + a veil of your choice absolutely at no extra charge!

When putting your budget together - keep in mind that alterations, veil, under the dress items, etc. all can add up pretty quick! I loved that my bridal salon included all that into the price of the dress.

I bought my dress at Hollywood Bridal in Kenilworth. Alterations were included and they were really friendly and helpful!

I also went to Hollywood Bridal in Kenilworth! Felt comfortable there and no pressure into buying anything. My budget was also $1500 and came under it!

I bought my dress at Castle Couture in Marlboro. The dress and veil together were around $1500. They had tons of options under $1500.
On a side note Castle Couture is having a charity fashion show this Sunday (8/18). Anyone else going?
