I have guests who do not want to HAVE to enter their email address, what do I do?

I have set up website for my daughter's wedding and we are depending only on the RSVP on the website to get count of guests. Problem is I have guests that do not want to enter the email address. I was not aware of this being required before they can submit their RSVP. Please help me remove this or how to explain for them to bypass this requirement.

    If your guests are calling you to tell you about the issue regarding their email address then why can't they just RSVP directly to you over the phone?

    I called The Knot's tech department when I had this problem for my wedding.  They basically said tough luck and that they wouldn't remove the feature.  Sorry.
