Engagement Photographer in NJ?

Hello,

I am recently engaged and will have a destination wedding.  I would like to have my engagement photos done by someone locally in New Jersey.  Any suggestions?

I just got my engagement pictures done last week by Dean Michaels Studio! They were amazing! We're expecting them back by the end of the week or early next week so I can PM you with the final results if you want. 

Anyway, I loved our photographer! She made it very comfortable and she was creative. Dean Michael's Studio has two locations, Madison NJ and Wayne NJ.

What area of NJ? I'm guessing that since engagement portraits are a lot less than a wedding, photographers are ony willing to travel so far to do them.

 

Two photographers that come up frequently in this forum are Jason Rhee and Robert Wayne Photography.  We met both, thought they do great work at reasonable prices, and ended up hiring Bob.

@bereasonable2 I just meant amazing because I enjoyed my experience with them so far. Plus, my family has been using Dean Michaels Studio for literally decades for all sorts of events, so I just happen to know off hand that the results are great. My entire family is from Madison, NJ.... 

If for whatever reason they don't come out as good as I'm hoping, which of course is completely possible (you never know), don't you worry @bereasonable2 you will be the first to know.

@bereasonable2 actually, I really loved them!! you got me so nervous lol. But as it turns out, I am very happy with them. Of course not every picture came out perfect and a few of the poses came out really awkward haha but overall, I'm pleased. I hope my wedding pictures come out just as well!

Check out Studio Uno Photography, they have done some pretty amazing work! I am using them for my wedding next December.

Originally I was going with Abella Studios but after meeting with Tony at Studio Uno (they are also the house photog. for Westmount where I am getting married) I couldn't help but fall in love with them!

I'm not sure what your budget is, but if you like the photojournalism style and are looking for something different, I'd recommend Jeff Tisman. His office is in Princeton and his photos are incredible. My fiance and I just booked him and we're so excited to get our engagement photos done this year. All of his blog posts of engagement sessions look incredible. He's a really nice guy to work with too, very personable and overall very cool.
