GM/AW Wednesday

Morning all!   How's it going??

Since getting back from home, I have failed to make it to the gym in the morning.  I'm so disappointed in myself!!  there's an exercise class today at 5 that I'm leaving work early for just to get back into a routine of some sort.

WR, not much, but FI and I found our second reading for the ceremony and picked a reader for it yesterday.  I cant wait until we have the ceremony planned out but I already love what Rev Mark and we have put together!

I officially said yes to the dress last night! I was almost positive I found the one the first time I went shopping, but I wanted to wait and make sure I loved it as much as I thought I did. So, I went back to the Exquisite Bride in Gibsonia last night with one of my BMs, tried it on again, fell in love with it again and bougt it. I went with Sottero & Midgley Brenda (click for photo) in ivory--without the jacket that's in the photo.

I LOVE the beaded sash, and the best part is, the seamstress can make it removable so I can wear it for the ceremony and switch into my feather sash from Etsy for the reception.

I'm feeling very AW-ish with this post, but I'm super excited about it. 304 days until I get to wear it! :)

janice - I think it's something to do with this weather shift back to cold.  It's so hard getting up early.

Britt - love the dress!! Both belts look great, I love the purple for the reception.  Also, I saw your post for a veil on the classifieds board... check out www.occanseydesigns.com  I've had wonderful luck working with them on a veil and they are really affordable!

Britt - great choice on your dress!  I have Adorae, which is the same except it's a sweetheart neckline!  I'm glad you are so happy!

I'm in the midst of week 4 of my c25k and I'm doing alright.  I got through my run Monday night and I'm nervous that since I'm sore from a kick boxing class and I couldn't fall asleep until after 2am last night that I won't be able to complete tonight's run.  Here's hoping!

I have nothing WR really.  We are still just so far away that I've been doing a lot of honeymoon research, but we are in a holding pattern for a lot of other vendors.  We are working on saving the $$!  We are meeting with Revered Mark and Jeanine on the 24th for possible officiant.  I'm pretty sure we will go with them as they have fantastic reviews.  I think that will be exciting to talk to them about the actual ceremony.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! And @mdphd - thanks so much for the veil reco!  I'll check them out.

@Janice - I've been really happy with EB so far, glad to hear you've also had a great experience.

Britt - I love your dress, and the purple sash is awesome!  It'll look amazing together.

I'm so impressed with everyone's dedication to working out.  I need to get back on track, but it's so much easier to sit on my couch and watch Felicity :)

AW - I just booked my musicians and my photographer (Steven Vance and Veronica Varos) and am SO excited to work with them!  It's such a relief to have such big vendors booked and crossed off our to do list!  All I have left vendorwise now is my florist!  Then it's on to the 102359325 tiny DIY details...

199 days to go for me! I feel so far behind!

I'm having a major hard time with our RSVP cards, I need to find a proper way to do them. I've been doing major research on the Invite/paper board but have not found much help.

On the music front I am very excited to say I think I found a proper Father/ Daughter dance, I think? I thought about doing 'You've Got a Friend In Me" by Randy Newman. Yes, the Toy Story song. Childish? maybe. But I think I love it!

Britt- Love the dress! Love the Belts! I love your going to put color on for the reception! Such a good idea!

Well.. my FI and I were trying to find a different way other then having, M___________ and fill out who was coming on the RSVP. I know it's the formal way but I wanted to limit the amount of +1's we give out. I know it will read on the envelope, but I'm not certain that everyone knows that.  I think that we will have to do the RSVP that way because I would not be able to afford the customization fees of having it any other way. Also, with our venue we would need to know the ages of the childeren coming due to Per Plate fees.  I couldn't think of a "proper" way of doing so.

    Any help is appreciated!

hmm..I think you just have to assume people know that only the people on the address are invited.  I'm using an RSVP card that has a different check box for a Children's meal (so like, a box for vegetarian meal, a box for the meat meal, a box for childrens, and a box that says does not attend) next to a line for each person's name.  Maybe that could help, and you could have diff check boxes for children in the diff age ranges?

As per the RSVP issue, I've seen girls on the weddingbee blogs do something like

___ seats have been reserved for you!!  And then fill in 1, 2, 3 etc....

Congrats on the dress Britt0412!  I was so excited to finally have that done.

I had my make-up trial on Monday and loved it!  Check!  No I should move onto the reception decor and getting a florist booked but alas I am being lazy and I am partially unmotivated.  My FI Dad has been in and out of the hospital since his liver transplant in February which is painful to see his family go through.  Then his friends and some family made fun of my save-the-date magnets for our holiday weekend wedding.  That just gets me mad to no end, like why did I buy them then?  He said they made fun of him for sending an "notice" of a invitation.  Totally bummed me out for other things I would like to plan.  But now a big part of feels like saying forget it all - you get PB&J and no booze!  lol
